It’s a classic formula that will appeal to fans of base-builder survival sims, and the game sold more than 500,000 units in the first two weeks of Steam early access. I’ve been describing the game to friends as a top-down

Ray tracing has taken its first steps at becoming the rendering norm for triple-A games but that just makes upscaling and frame generation a Hobson's choice

Smithing Skill Issue: The Blacksmith skill is currently not working properly. The skill is supposed to decrease the amount of ingredients required to repair items and craft items in the anvil, but it currently only decreases the amount that's visible in the crafting recipe, while still using the original (non-discounted) amount of said recipe.

Excellent game. As you probably know, it's basically a top-down version of Terraria or Minecraft, but in my opinion vastly superior to both. Minecraft has hideous visuals, while Core Keeper is beautiful to look at. Terraria has the infuriating issue of being CONSTANTLY bombarded by enemy attacks, always preventing you from doing what you are trying to do. Core Keeper, conversely, is much more respectful of the player, typically allowing you to engage enemies on your own terms. It's also easier to prevent enemies spawning where you don't want them to be. So you have the freedom to build a house, craft items, farm animals and plants, and cook food without being constantly bothered (unless you set up your base in a spot with a lot of enemy spawn tiles, but you can remove those to "cleanse" it anyway as mentioned above).

Aside from the cosmetics, you'll also have to pick your "Background" which is an initial set of starting skills and equipment. None of these bonuses are truly exclusive and you can eventually earn everything from all of the other Backgrounds.

And while bosses amp up the challenge, the crafting-focused sandbox design is suitable for people who are less interested in hardcore fighting and more interested in base-building. Twitch streamer, Aminala, has been having a fun time stumbling upon Core Keeper's secrets and scenes! How many of you have come across one of these bad boys yet?

The early game is basically just punching through barriers and filling up your pockets. This digging allows you to excavate different regions and grow the map. But the opening belies much more complexity behind the rocky walls. Like in Valheim

They have to farm their gear from mobs, they have to play with the worst AI of any minion I've seen in my life, they only have 3 weapons in the game, where only 1 of them is actually usable because it doesnt have any AI. And they also have some weird synergy with Magic, but this synergy only works if you have magic at around lvl 75, which idk how would you even get to that level in a normal playthrough tbh, especially if you want to play with mostly Summon dmg.

Core Keeper is a clever, challenging, Core Keeper Gameplay and immensely enjoyable sandbox mining game that's a blast to play. You can completely change how you play for a new experience, there are a lot of bosses and areas to explore, and the joy of finding a new item or new area is never lost.

In open world games with a day-night cycle, I'll hop in bed when it gets sun sets and fast-forward to morning. I don't like caves, I don't like mines, I don't like gloom. This isn't true of me in real life, but in games I'm just an outdoorsy, daytime person.

" My first few attempts were failures and the fish snapped the line and escaped, but I eventually got the hang of it. Reel when it's resting, let it run while it struggles, it's really about recognizing the beat as quickly as possible and then matching it. Fun!
